Established in 2022, the Shere Punjab GuruKul is dedicated to fostering musical excellence while cultivating a traditional learning environment that instills the essential Sankar (etiquette) expected of a Shishya (student).

The Gurukul aims to revive and celebrate the rich heritage of Punjab beyond the borders of India and Pakistan.

With a steadily growing enrollment of over 200 students, the Gurukul offers a diverse array of courses, masterclasses, shibars (intensive learning sessions), one-to-one classes, teacher training, and student performances for Tabla, Jorī, and Pakhawaj, reaching students worldwide.

Classes are conducted weekly and monthly across the United Kingdom, including locations such as London, Birmingham, Oldbury, Nuneaton, and Nottingham. Both in-person and online individual classes are available to students internationally.

The GuruKul specializes in providing the highest quality Tabla, Jorī, and Pakhawaj instruments. Collaborating with esteemed figures like Tablahouse, Mukta Das, Somnath Kakkede, Bharat Kakkede of India, Haji Nasir, Labba Khan, and Qiasar Hussain of Pakistan, the GuruKul caters to students ranging from beginners to those seeking professional concert-level expertise.

All tutors at the Gurukul have undergone full teacher training and are fully DBS checked, ensuring a secure and professional learning environment for all students.
